Album Of The Week: The Chisel Retaliation

In the 2005 movie Green Street Hooligans, Elijah Wood plays a young American who gets kicked out of college and moves in with his sister and her husband in London. Through a complicated and improbable series of events, Wood falls in with a whole crew of rowdy soccer goons. Green Street Hooligans is not what I’d call a good movie, and the vision of Frodo Baggins throwing down in boot-stomper mob fights is a deeply ridiculous one, but it’s not that hard to figure out why he’d want to be there. As an ignorant American, I get some of that same vicarious thrill whenever I throw on the Chisel.
